Dr. Malik Vazi | MBA; Msc Health Economic; PhD in Public Health (Behavioural Health).
Dr. Vazi sees himself as a health activist. He is involved in a number of activities that seek to bring affordable care to vulnerable groups. He is passionate about health promotion and prevention of illness, more so in mental health. His corporate career started in the food manufacturing industry as a management trainee. He then moved to management consulting with Accenture specialising in strategy formulation and implementation. In 2000 he co-founded Proactive Health Solutions, a bio-medical health risk management company, for which he worked in various roles during nine years. Dr. Vazi is the managing director of Zeal Health Innovations.
Chief of Operations and GP Networks
Dr. Hlombe Makuluma | BSc; MBChB; MPhil Sustainable Dev.; PGD HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Makuluma started his corporate career working for Goldfields and went on to work for CSIR and Prime Cure, where he has always been in the forefront of delivering clinical and wellbeing services to patients and employees alike. Dr. Makuluma’s role is to be the Chief of Operations and to develop and manage a GP network nationally for the benefit of our clients.
Health Education and Training Manager
Dr. Carme Martinez-Roca | Bed (Hons); MEd; PhD
Dr. Martínez-Roca worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). In 2004 she moved to Denmark, where she was international education consultant, lecturer and later on Head of an international bachelor in Nutrition and Health. Since she moved to South Africa she has been Head of Development Consultancy and Education for the International Foundation for Interdisciplinary Health Promotion. Under this capacity she has worked with UNESCO, UNEP, universities and other educational centres from Africa and Europe. She is an expert in employability and career development. Dr. Martínez-Roca’s role is to manage Health Education and Training services.
